How is it assessed?

The written sections are evaluated centrally. The speaking part is assessed on site by specially trained examiners. The evaluation follows clearly defined criteria, focusing not only on linguistic accuracy but also on structure, clarity, and communicative effectiveness.

Passing Score and Results

To pass, each section of the exam must be completed with at least 60%. Results are typically available within 2 to 4 weeks. The Goethe B1 certificate is valid indefinitely.
