This short guide helps you write a forum post in the Deutsch-Test für den Beruf (B2) safely and correctly – on any topic.

The text is deliberately written in simple language so that it is easy to understand for different migrants.

1️⃣ What is a forum post in DTB B2?

In the writing part of the exam, you are expected to:

  • express your own opinion,
  • make suggestions and justify them,
  • weigh advantages and disadvantages,
  • show whether and how something should be done,
  • speak realistically about feasibility.

📌 The forum post is job-related, but does not require any specific technical knowledge.

📌 The register is semi-formal or formal.

📌 You are writing for colleagues, for example in an internal company forum.

2️⃣ Structure of a good forum post (always the same!)

A successful forum post has a clear structure.

This structure works for every topic.

🔹 1. Introduction – friendly and neutral

In the introduction, you greet the readers and briefly mention the topic.

Ich hoffe, ihr hattet ein stressfreies Wochenende und wünsche euch einen guten Start in die Arbeitswoche.
